Features
The details that trip other systems up
Most leave systems handle annual leave. The awkward cases — credited leave that expires, a suspension mid-year, an employee moving between policies on confirmation — are where configuration matters.
- Leave types differentiated by a custom colour indicator in calendar view
- Credit leave and expiry handling
- Separate leave policies for different groups or employees
- Leave suspension and leave forfeit functions
- Employee leave policy progression
-
Annual leave9 of 14 days taken
-
Medical leave3 of 14 days taken
-
Replacement leave4 of 5 days — expires 31 Dec
-
Unpaid leave1 day — deducted in payroll
Credited leave that expires, entitlement that carries forward and unpaid days that reach payroll are all tracked against the policy the employee sits on.
Benefits
Entitlement, the way your policy defines it
- Entitlement based on calendar method (calendar year or fiscal year) or anniversary method (hire date or confirmation date)
- Different leave policies with unlimited leave types, assigned to an individual or a group
- Suited to companies running different work time profiles and shifts
- Staff access their leave on the go, and managers approve from anywhere, using the employee self-service extension
Reports
Leave is a liability on your books as well as a policy. These two reports are what finance usually asks for.
- R1Leave costing and provision report
- R2Leave details summary
Leave costing puts a monetary value on outstanding balances, so accrued leave can be provisioned rather than discovered at year end.
Working together
Where leave meets the rest of the system
Applications from the portal
Employees apply through the Access E-Portal. Multi-tier approval runs by email, and the back-end leave module updates automatically once approved.
No-pay leave reaches payroll
A no-pay leave application links through to the payroll module for deduction, so the pay run reflects the approval without anyone re-keying it.
Shifts and work profiles
Access EasyTime handles schedules and working-hour assignment by group, which keeps leave deduction correct for staff who are not on a standard weekday pattern.
